Projects for Europe
ProVote

Overview
What the project is about
ProVote is a CERV project designed to spark greater citizen engagement in EU democracy, specifically empowering underrepresented groups such as young people, women, and marginalised communities. It aims to strengthen democratic resilience by bridging the gap between local communities and European institutions, ensuring that diverse voices actively shape the future of EU policymaking.
Main Aims
what do we want to achieve
Boost Democratic Participation: Increase citizen engagement in the democratic life of the Union, with a specific focus on raising voter turnout in European elections.
Empower Underrepresented Groups: Amplify the voices of young people, women, marginalised communities, and EU mobile citizens who are often disconnected from EU policymaking.

Combat Disinformation: Strengthen democratic resilience by promoting media literacy and providing citizens with tools to identify and counter false information.
Establish a Knowledge Hub: Create a lasting "Citizens' Engagement Academy" to provide open educational resources, training modules, and best practices for civic engagement.
Target audience
For whom is the project relevant
ProVote primarily targets underrepresented citizens, including young people, women, and marginalised communities, who often face barriers to participating in the democratic process. Additionally, the project engages local authorities, policymakers, and civil society organisations to equip them with the tools and strategies needed to foster more inclusive and resilient democratic participation
